As a 1993 graduate from Oregon State University, Dr. Julianne Vickstrom started as a general small practice doctor, caring for avian and exotic patients until 2005. From that point, she dove headfirst into private practice for avian and exotic patients until mid-2023. Today, Dr. Vickstorm continues to care for non-traditional species in the capacity of a contract veterinarian.
Dr. Vickstrom is not your average vet—she’s a proud member of the Association of Exotic Animal Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.
When not caring for exotic animals, Dr. Vickstrom can be found hiking, sailing, or hanging out with her husband. And as a true lover of animals, she finds companionship from her turtle, budgie, and two cats.
